Summer resort for famous personalities
As early as the 15th and 16th centuries assembly rooms at the foot of the Leogang Steinberge looked after people's needs, both visitors and locals. Up to 1960 Leogang was a summer resort for famous people such as Prof. Theodor Heuss, Herbert von Karajan, Eugen Roth and Karl von Frisch. In 1997 work was started on renovating the assembly rooms in the original style and Alfred Kubin's artistic works were installed.
