Krimml Waterfalls

On the most westerly edge of Salzburg state lie the world-famous Krimmler Waterfalls, a unique natural spectacle easily reached on foot. Families with children can find numerous viewpoints along the Krimml waterfall path where they can catch a breathtaking but safe view of the huge volumes of water at the Krimml Falls that crash down into the depths 380 metres below.

A large part of the alpine region in the south of Salzburg state belongs to the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Krimmler falls are also part of this nature reserve. You can find out more about waterfalls in the Water Wonder World (WasserWunderWelt) which is right by the Krimml Falls.
